Quintessentially Foundation, a charitable foundation I started in 2008. Since then, we’ve raised nearly £16million for a variety of charitable causes. In 2022 we made a pivotal shift in our mission and launched The Firefly Project, our child poverty initiative. Through the project, we partner with grassroots charity partners who are working at the coalface of London’s most disadvantaged communities, helping alleviate some of the limitations poverty places on the futures of children and young people. It is truly shameful and deeply unfair that there are 700,000 children and young people growing up in poverty in London, and we need to do everything in our collective power to help them.
So, for the sixteenth year in a row, I will be donning my lycra and raising money to turbo charge the small frontline charities that are making the biggest difference. We have covered over 6,500 km in the ride’s history, and I now have rather creakier knees than when we started. Any donation you are able to make – no matter how small – will propel me forwards, and will make a tangible difference to the lives of many children and young people.
