From Dropout to MIT: Riding to Give Others a Chance

Over the years, many people have come to know two things about me:

1. I’m deeply passionate about cycling.
2. Education changed the course of my life.

My journey was far from traditional. I went from being a high school dropout with no money for college, to community college, to university… then dropping out again. Eventually, I found my way back — earning my bachelor’s degree, then a master’s, and ultimately achieving a lifelong dream of completing my MBA at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

That journey taught me something important: opportunity can completely transform a person’s future — but not everyone gets access to it equally.

That’s why I’m honored to be riding in support of Quintessentially Foundation, combining two things that mean a great deal to me: cycling and creating opportunities for young people.

Quintessentially Foundation works to transform the lives of London’s most vulnerable children and young people by supporting small, impactful charities working directly within their communities. Their mission is to help break the cycle of child poverty and expand what young people believe is possible for their future.

For me, this ride is about more than miles on a bike. It’s about giving more young people the chance to dream bigger, believe in themselves, and access opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives.
